Our Board



Disha Patel, founder, and chief executive officer of Disha, is a triple negative breast cancer survivor and a passionate mom of 2 beautiful daughters. For the past one year, Disha has been a Cancer Connect volunteer at the Methodist Cancer Support Group, providing peer support for women at various stages of their treatment. She is passionate about making a difference to the lives of those going through a similar experience.

Disha brings experience in strategic planning, change management, process re-engineering and fundraising, particularly focused on the not-for-profit sector. As part of that work, Disha Patel engaged with the corporate sector trusts, foundations, and philanthropists, developing models to ensure services provided met the requirement for both the donor and the charity.

Disha studied Management information systems at the University of Massachusetts; she was elected student body president at the University of Massachusetts, where she was also named “Outstanding Oral Advocate” in her sophomore year. She started working for healthcare industry at the very young age of 20 and made her career working as an IT professional. She also has diverse experience working in multiple industries such as Oil & Gas, Financial Investment & Insurance, and Construction sector.
